Fellina Pride, Director of Community and Education Outreach

Fellina Pride has worked in the fields of early childhood education, mentally and physically disabled adult advocacy and business management for over thirteen years. In early childhood education she has provided numerous resources in the areas of age appropriate behavior, curriculum development, and discipline to both parents and educators.  She became actively involved in the NAEYC accreditation process, thus bringing her skills as teacher, team player and leader to a higher standard. Fellina has worked with the Maryland Department of Social Services and other private sector groups to aid in the independent living of disabled adults. Additionally, she has developed programs for disabled adults.

Fellina's business experience portfolio also includes a position as sales representative and manager of a major retail company in the Maryland area. With her combined experiences of educator, advocate and business woman, Fellina is launching Create. Explore. Learn., an educational activities company. She has also joined the staff of BackList as the Director of Community and Education Outreach.

Annie Gordon, Director of Education Development


Annie Gordon has served as an elementary school administrator for 15 years.  In addition to being a principal and an assistant principal, she has also served as a teacher mentor, reading specialist, and classroom teacher.  During her 37 years as an educator, in addition to working with children, she has served in leadership positions to support, mentor, coach, and ensure that teachers, aspiring and newly assigned administrators are successful.  She serves as an advocate for all children by promoting leadership development initiatives for school leaders and facilitating parent involvement programs.  Annie has earned a M.Ed. from Johns Hopkins University and attended the Harvard Graduate School of Education's Summer Institute for Principals.  She has taught graduate level reading courses as an adjunct faculty member for Goucher College and developed a 3-credit graduate reading course approved by MSDE.  She has also presented at national and state conferences and developed a 200 page Black History Resource Handbook for classroom teachers.  Annie has been honored as Outstanding African American Educator by the Julian Branch of the Association for the Study of Afro-American Life and History.  She possesses outstanding skills as an educator and, after retiring as a public school administrator, will join the staff of Backlist as the Director of Education Services.
